The Country of Memories
Hermes was quiet.
So was Kino.
There was really no need for speech as they passed the numerous graves on the side of the road. It would dishonor the spirits, or so the pair felt.
Covering this bleak countryside were hundreds upon thousands of graves. They could be seen from miles around, lining the road- crosses, concrete angels, crypts even. Apart from that, the country was eternally gray. Dark clouds threatening to release their stormy vengeance upon the area, brown grass for miles...on all of this, there was the weight and omen of death upon their shoulders.

The Vagabond
His eyes to the sky,
His heart from the grave,
He left the last battlefield that day.
He was the warrior,
Whose blade had touched most,
But now he left, knowing to pay
His respects to the dead,
And to his love.
Finally he took up the sword
Of the reversed blade,
The sakabato.
Turning to see
A young bird flee
From the haunting streets
Of the place known as Kyoto.
Wandering for the years,
A decade passed.
He met his friends,
A woman with a burden,
A boy with a past,
A fighter-for-hire,
And a fox-like nurse last.
Many battles he did fight,
And now they have past.
He smiles at his wife,
And his young son.
I haven't updated in two years.
I don't ever plan to update under this screenname again.

I'm seriously considering leaving DA. There's nothing here that they would use, though....I might, I might not. Anyway, no more updates from me, I'll probably get an art journal on LiveJournal, but....
